What’s Happening at Trinity

Students in the fifth-eighth grades are eligible to attend “Early Communion” classes at Trinity, after which they are allowed to participate with the congregation in receiving Holy Communion. The Early Communion classes this fall are scheduled for Wednesdays, September 17 and October 1. The classes will be held in the Eifert Room from 4:00 to 5:30PM. Students who are interested must attend both classes along with at least one parent at both classes. There will be homework assigned for the time between the classes. There is a $5.00 material fee for the classes, and a minimum registration of 5 students is required for the classes to be held. Please sign up in the church office by Sunday, September 14 if you are interested in attending.

If you are an out of town guest visiting Rochester for medical care, the members of Trinity desire to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. Please see an usher or a greeter for a card. If you leave your in town contact information with us, we will call you to see how we can meet your needs. You may also call Jennifer at 507-292-0439.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! ALL Trinity members should stop by the office and pick up a Trinity parking permit. Vehicles parked during weekdays without a permit may be ticketed or towed at owner’s expense!

THE ZUMBRO VALLEY CHORUS OF SWEET ADELINES is singing for our services this Sunday morning. They want to thank Trinity for letting them be a part of our worship service and for letting them use our Fellowship Hall for rehearsals. For any women who might be interested in singing four-part harmony, please come for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall. Call 285-9915 for more information.

We are inviting our Homebound members, as well as other members who find it difficult to stand or walk to the communion rail, to attend our afternoon service on Wednesday, August 20th, at 1:30PM. Communion will be served in the pews and there will be no standing during the service. There will be a reception with refreshments after the service in the Fellowship Hall. If you are able to attend church regularly, please consider joining us as well. You just may have the chance to visit with someone you have not seen in a while! If you need transportation to the service, please call the church office.

All 6th, 7th & 8th graders and parents——- if you haven’t signed up for Chula Vista, by Sunday, August 17th, is your last day to do so. We leave at 9:00AM on Tuesday and return on Thursday afternoon. $49.00 + any spending money is your only cost. Take advantage of this chance to spend time with other Jr. Highers from Trinity. You must call Cathy Ruggeberg at 280-4276 by Sunday if you are able to go!!

The September combined Council/Congregation meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, September 15th, at 7:00PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Men’s Fraternity will be starting up Wednesday, September 10 at 7:30PM. Please contact Jeff Gustafson if you are interested in attending. Please sign up in the narthex as soon as possible!

 The next Homebound Service will be on Wednesday, August 20th at 1:30PM. We are looking for volunteers to make phone calls, provide rides and accompany worshippers to the service, and to the reception afterwards. If you are interested in helping, please call the church office.
