Trinity members have become accustomed to the annual transition between vicars, and it is time to once again bid a fond farewell to Vicar Seth Flick, his wife Melinda, and their sons, Noah and Micah. Vicar Seth will be returning to St. Louis to complete his seminary education, and looks forward to being placed into a congregation next spring, and to serve as a pastor in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. He will be preaching his farewell sermon at Trinity the week of July 18 (Wednesday, July 14, Saturday July 17, and Sunday, July 18). There will be a brief farewell celebration between services on Sunday, July 18 between services.
Trinity members will welcome our new vicar, Justin Whitmore, on the weekend of July 31/August 1. Justin, his wife Jennifer, and their children, Rebekah (9), Isabella (7), Kathryn (5), Abigail (3), and Micah (newborn in June), will be arriving in Rochester on Tuesday, July 27.
Moving Plans for Vicars
As part of the vicar transition, help is needed to load/unload the vicars’ belongings. Many hands make light work, so we ask for volunteers to help load and unload moving trucks on the following days:
Loading the Flick family: Plans are to load the moving truck on Sunday afternoon, July 18. The exact time will be announced. This task can usually be accomplished in a few hours.
Unloading the Whitmore family: Plans are for the Whitmores to arrive in Rochester on Tuesday, July 27. Help is needed to unload their moving truck in the afternoon on that day. Time will be announced. Once again, many hands make light work. Please volunteer to help with these tasks as you are able.
Summer Bible Study
Senior high – come join us for our summer Bible study at 11:00AM at Panera south and spend some time in God’s Word. It will be a relaxed format, so get yourself a bagel or something to eat, and enjoy Bible study over the summer months.

A BIG VBS THANK YOU! The Vacation Bible School coordination team would like to say a very BIG thank you to all crew/game/craft/Bible story leaders and volunteers for helping with this year’s High Seas Expedition. Thanks go to the Elders, Trinity’s Small Groups, Petra, Christian Service/TLCare, as well as the Board for Evangelism and Mission for preparing free meals for over 100 people each night! A special thank you to Ken and Deb Lubahn and all of those who used their creative gifts for our sets and decorations. Many, many children (and some of their parents) were able to hear and experience the mighty love of God through Jesus this past week!
